Kloster Cismar is said to have a healing spring dedicated to John the Baptist. This made it a centre of pilgrimage until it was dissolved in 1561 during the Reformation. The Gothic windows, statues and amazing winged altar carved by artisans from Lubeck make it worth a visit.
